Nov 12, 2011 Mac, Benson, Reitnouer, Doonan, East. Discussion in '. The reason being is that some shippers won't load an aluminum deck trailer. There is a little more maintenance to steel, but I think that they are more durable. I am thinking a double drop extendable or perhaps another step deck. I do like owning a piece of equipment that is paid off.

I'm looking for a stepdeck and am leaning on new, or near new. So I'm looking for opinions on brands and specs. Many pros/cons with all aluminum/combination/all steel/. Anyone here own a galvinized?
I am pretty certain on a 10' 2' spread with a sliding rear axle for running thru Canada (IDGAF about kali, won't go there) and would like to go with a 51 or 52 footer.
Part on my problem picking one out is I'm paying cash and it's easier to plop down $35K than it is to plop down $45K...but #### those new big bubbas shore loooook niiiiice.
Again this is a step, as I will not be going with flatbed. Please elaborate...
